The whole episode basically made fun of the right wing nationalists.
It was great. One of the guys was railing against those that disrespect the flag, and then revealed a tattoo that was the US Flag, except that it said Dole/Kemp '96 where the stars belong. Later his buddy said that he was going to go home and listen to the President's weekly radio address, and that he was going to SKIP the response.
Later, the Simpsons found themselves incarcerated in the Ronald Reagan re-education center, where they were forced to sit and stare at the flag. Michael Moore, Bill Clinton, Al Franken, and the Dixie Chicks were also in the re-ed center.
Apu renamed his kids, "Freedom", "Lincoln", "Condoleeze"...
Hilarious.
