“The death of Uday and Qusay,’’ the commander of the ground forces in Iraq told reporters recently, “is definitely going to be a turning point for the resistance.’’ Well, it was a turning point, but unfortunately not of the kind he envisaged.

Since May 1, 57 United States and 11 British troops have been killed. These have been the worst months for US soldiers in Iraq since President George W Bush declared that the war there was over.

Few people believe that the resistance in that country is being coordinated by Saddam Hussein and his noxious family, or that it will come to an end when those people are killed. But the few appear to include the military and civilian command of the US armed forces.

4. Wow! Exceptional thinking!

Definitely true in many ways 0- certainly the religious reich feel that America that is not just God's chosen people, but that God Himself (capitalization theirs, not mine) CREATED America.

And that's damn scary.

So my initial thought of "I want my religion back!" still rings true after reading this article.

I want the Christo-Jeebuz-Fascist-Eschatologists out of my government, entirely.

5. the president of the US is the closest thing to GOD on earth

Screw the pope. The pope doesn't have 1/1000000th the impact, globally, that the president does.

A good president can save millions of lives, a bad president can destroy millions.

That sounds like God to me.
