Has anyone ever listened to this guy's radio show?

If so, what do you think of it?

1. I heard some of it on Fresh Air a long time ago

And I thought the guy was pure genius. Unfortunately, he doesn't webstream his show. (Last I checked, you had to pay to listen)

3. I've had my friend describe it to me....

But it still confounds me. Basically he puts on these fake shows where he does multiple voices and characters and just sees how many people call in not getting the joke?

Is that accurate or have I just been understanding him incorrect?

I don't get his radio show where I am so I can't say either way.

It's funny at first, but gets old after a while.

Hendrie _claims_ to be a liberal.... (or used to..)

But lately I've heard him doing commercials for CortiSlim & claiming to be a fan of Rush Limbaugh, so I have a hard time figuring out where his political leanings are.

'Course, people will say lots of thins if they're paid enough.

4. Pretty incredible performance art.

His multi-personality perfomance satirizes the whole array of bigotry and ignorance and draws in the uninitiated callers hillariously.

7. I thought he was pretty remarkable...

...and I'd often listen to him when I lived in L.A. Now I'm in NYC, so I've no idea what he's doing these past few years. I agree with some posters: It really is a one-joke idea, but he pulled it off with remarkable finesse. As an on-going parody of a radio talk/call-in-show, it was quite unique, and much appreciated by me. I never for a second thought the guy was a liberal. He always struck me as philosophically/politically middle-of-the-road, yet the tone and the goal of the show was to call "bullshit" on the whole medium, and he did it with a very dark and edgy sense of the absurd. He pushed many a button, and got people pissed-the-fuck off. For that, he has my respect.
