Need help with buying plane tickets.

Okay, so the last time I was on a plane, I was a minor and didn't have to worry about buying the ticket. I'm going to North Carolina next month and I'm not sure how to go about buying a plane ticket without using a credit card. Do you guys know if I'm able to just go to the airport and buy one on the spot? HELP!

reserve a flight for 24 hours online and pay cash at a travel agent and they will print it in most cases

you can use that. It works like a credit card you just have to have the cash for it.

You'll be marked as a "terrist" and not a "torist" I haven't flown since before 911. Luckily I haven't had to think about it as we are very busy and broke besides. But I sure could use a vacation to New England or Ireland. I'd not tempt myself with Canada because I might try and stay.

You'll end up staying there (or from what I've told anyways). Besides, I'm already on the FBI watch list from all the anti-Bush sites, book buying online, and bumper sticker buying online. Oh well. :shrug:

you can also get one through a travel agent. Drop in and get one with cash or check. Because the airlines have cut commissions, the travel agent may ask for a service fee, though.

You can call the airline and make the reservation, but if you don't actually buy the ticket in advance, there might not be one when you get there. So, you should stop by the airport soon and buy the ticket for cash if you make the reservation over the phone.

The MC and VISA check cards are probably the best way to go. If you already have an account, your bank will likely send you one in a couple of days if you ask. Then you can get the internet specials most airlines have.

If you buy a ticket online, checkin is easy, 'specially with just carryon-- just swipe the card at one of the checkin terminals and it prints a boarding pass on the spot.
