and when the Yankees don't make the playoffs because they got clobbered in the season series against the Sox, and when you or some other Yankee fan tries to de-emphasize the Sox dominance because we didn't have to face the Yanks in the playoffs, I'll put this thread up again and remind you, unnecessarily, that the road to the playoffs already passed through new York and is paved with the tears of Yankee fans everywhere.

Or something like that. :)

On edit - almost forgot: 1918. Has it really been that long? If I was the BoSox, I'd go for the centennial mark on that stat...
