1. Are we supposed to say
which one is more likely, or do we need a higher level of certainty than that (in which case I would have to do other - I don't know)?

You are supposed to give your opinion.
If it doesn't fit into one of the first two choices, you'll have to explain yourself, sorry.

2. Depends on what you're calling "God"
If you mean the model of God most people have, then--well, heck, any model of God is a man-made model.

If you mean God as an entity, whatever that entity is, who knows?

Vote as if the words mean what you mean when you use them in the context in which they have been used.

4. The real breakthrough was when...

...Man created God in His own image...only with better posture and a higher income.

5. Ask My Future Wife
She keeps moaning "Oh God!"

Maybe "man" didn't have much to say about the situation.

7. Other!
"Other" defined: The question -- which is a good question, a valid question -- implies that there is a difference or a separation between humanity and God. That's an old question, brought about by the organic evolution of the human brain, and one that has been posed in the poetry of the bible as "the fall from grace." Yet when we live correctly, that same human brain will take us on a journey beyong that valley of doubt, up on to the mountain top that Martin Luther King spoke of .... the mountain being humanity. And from that vista, it is clear that humankind is part not only of earth, or even simply part of the universe, but part of "God." So, yes, I'd say "other!"

9. God is Within
IMHO...

The God/Goddess is within, expressed thru love.
NO external god exists.
It's all myth, meant to inspire not be literal.
What we do to another, we do to ourselves.

10. Voltaire said it best
If God did not exist, it would be necessary to invent him.
