We don't even really talk politics all that often. She knows how I feel and I know how she feels and we agree on 99.9999% of the issues. I'm much more of an angry, cynical, firebrand type so I think more often than not I worry that our political conversations just involve me talking and her just kind of nodding her head in agreement. But tonight after our daughter went to bed we just sat there together and ranted and raved and bitched and moaned about Buscho and all the shit that is going on.

It's just so comforting to be able to get all this frustration and stuff out with someone who you love and trust.

I know love conquers all, but my political beliefs are so integral to who I am and every aspect of my life I don't know how I could be with someone who didn't share that.

I know a couple with a neocon husband and a liberal wife. The neocon's daughter is being sent to the Middle East. I really wonder if their marriage can take the stress.

I mean, I always sort of knew what I believed but didn't pay much attention to the issues... and then started reading DU a lot over his shoulder, and the rest is history :D

Yeah, I agree, I don't know how Repub/Dem marriages work, mostly the ones where people are way off of center... I don't think I could do it.

exactly like mine. I'm the ranting and raving kind and she is the one who just agrees with me. Every once in a while she sees an issue that really riles her up...like a national health care debate, and she goes into a rare tirade.
