US faking terror in the phillipines
Edited on Fri Jan-09-04 10:10 AM by professor_pot
DAVAO CITY - The City Prosecution Office on Friday tagged the American victim of an explosion in his hotel room four months ago as a terrorist.

City Prosecutor Raul Bendico said findings from the investigation of the case indicated that Meiring apparently attempted to set up explosives intended to blow up Evergreen Hotel when the accidental explosion went off, mangling his lower limbs.

Michael Meiring, 65, of California, was rushed to Davao Medical Mission Hospital on May 16 after the blast inside his room at the hotel located on Ramon Magsaysay Avenue here.

Meiring was charged with illegal possession of explosives and reckless imprudence "for failing to practice proper attention and diligence regarding the handling of explosive materials."

But he was reportedly whisked away by agents of the US Federal Bureau of Investigation and brought to the United States.

Better get TSG to dig up some dirt on this fellow ...

The faking's not only in the Philippines, I would guess.

MIHOP gains momentum.

4. We NEED to pay attention to this story,
and to what's going on in the Phillipines. The fraud that is the "war on terror" seems much closer to the surface there.

Remember the mutiny by junior army officers in Manilla last year? Their stated reason was to protest the Phillipine government's staging terrorist actions to justify repression and cury favour with Washington. And the story of Meiring - a CIA operative whose bomb exploded prematurely, and was whisked out of the country by the FBI - can't be permitted to drop from radar.

Those who still disbelieve MIHOP on principle because they find it inconcievable that the United States government could be complicit in staging terrorist actions for strategic gain simply must get to know this material.

From Naomi Klein, in The Guardian:

"Yet the Meiring affair has never been reported in the US press. And the mutinous soldiers' incredible allegations were no more than a one-day story. Maybe it just seemed too outlandish: an out-of-control government fanning the flames of terrorism to pump up its military budget, hold on to power and violate civil liberties. Why would Americans be interested in something like that?"

7. Allegations of the Phillipine army mutineers:
(Note how closely they resemble 9/11 MIHOP theory, and suspicions regarding White House intentions for 2004.)

· Senior military officials, in collusion with the Arroyo regime, carried out last March's bombing of the airport in the southern city of Davao, as well as several other attacks. Thirty-eight people were killed in the bombings. The leader of the mutiny, Lieutenant Antonio Trillanes, claims to have "hundreds" of witnesses who can testify to the plot.

· The army has fuelled terrorism in Mindanao by selling weapons and ammunition to the very rebel forces the young soldiers were sent to fight.

· Members of the military and police helped prisoners convicted of terrorist crimes escape from jail. The "final validation", according to Trillanes, was Fathur Rohman al-Ghozi's July 14 escape from a heavily guarded Manila prison. Al-Ghozi is a notorious bomb-maker with Jemaah Islamiah, which was linked to both the Bali and Marriott attacks.

· The government was on the verge of staging a new string of bombings to justify declaring martial law.

8. Just more evidence that al Qaeda is a rogue branch
of the CIA.

According to Meiring, CIA stands for Christ In Action.

With each piece of the puzzle that we find the picture gets clearer and clearer. The real way to rid the world of terrorists is to start at the top with Bu$h and the rest of this misadministration.

And about the mutiny:

"Government behind terrorism

"The rebel officers identified themselves as belonging to the 'Magdalo Group', a name that refers to General Emilio Aguinaldo's faction within the Katipunan — the armed group that waged a successful national liberation war against the Spanish colonial government in the 1890s. The rebel soldiers sported red armbands showing the white insignia of the Katipunan-Magdalo.

"In their public statements, the mutineers demanded better conditions for soldiers, in particular a reduction in the pay differentials between the ranks. They accused the Arroyo government and the AFP leadership of corruption, including selling guns and ammunition to the Abu Sayyaf terrorist gang, the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) and the Maoist New Peoples Army (NPA).

"They warned that the government was plotting to declare martial law in August, and accused the AFP of carrying out the March 4 and April 3 bombings in Davao City, Mindanao, in an effort to frame the MILF as 'terrorists' and attract increased US military funding and support. Those attacks killed 37 people and injured hundreds.

"These charges are particularly explosive as the rebels were from the AFP's elite Light Reaction Company, Scout Ranger Regiment and other Army and Philippine Marines units. According to the July 30 Cebu-based Sun.Star, the majority of the mutinous officers have had combat assignments in Mindanao, many being decorated for 'gallantry.'"

And the latest news, from today:

"Philippine court delays trial of military mutineers

"MANILA - A lower court in the Philippines on Thursday pushed back for February the trial of a group of junior military officers accused of leading a failed coup attempt against President Gloria Arroyo."
