Where's the spark to bring down Bush?
This article promised to bring down Bush, all we need is a spark to bring down the robber barons.
http://www.democraticunderground.com/articles/03/10/10_spark.html

So where's the spark and when is Bush going down? I want to see some of his administration taken away in handcuffs. Or at least some brutal humiliation.

1. It took a PLANET united to bring down hitler. Imagining any other
solution to tearing down the bush regime is beyond the pale.

They are a strong and nefarious organization, and their will and criminal conduct runs deep. The citizenry isn't powerful enough to stop them. It will take a planetary unification to unseat this troika of evil.

2. no way man
Once the truth is out the people will wake up and use the election to throw the bums out. We just need the truth to come out in the mainstream press and other trusted sources. The CIA is supposed to have a plethora of dirt so what are they waiting for?

Let the shit fly!

4. The media? Ya gotta be kidding.
The media is controlled by big corporations and big corporations decides how the country will be run, and who will be president. junior is just a front man.

The spooks aren't the answer they are part of the problem.

We must hurt big corporations - how, is the question. Would love to see the shit fly!

You are right we gotta do something!

7. Oh yeah? The citizens of germany sat on their hands for YEARS pretending
everything was FINE... They KNEW. We KNOW the german people KNEW what crimes hitler was committing, just like WE know the crimes BUSH is committing.

They were powerless too. But they also chose to look the other way, then lie about what they knew. They didn't mind the jews being killed, just like the Americans don't mind the muslims being killed.

12. Plus, the Busheviks are "kinder and gentler" than the Nazis
Making denial easier.

Of course, even a Freshman Marketing Major could tell you that if you want to reintroduce an old, discredited product then your marketing strategy must assiduously avoid any comparison to the old discredited product.

In this way, Totalitarianism has been introduces to the Amerikan Halls of Governance.

13. If you're waiting for the CIA to bring down the BFEE...
...it's a long wait.

The CIA and the BFEE are one and the same to a large extent.

5. Planatery unification?
I don't know about anybody else, but it strikes me that that would probably end up being worse than President Bush.

Here's to the new dark ages.

3. Patience, my friend
These things take time. The trap must be set before it can be sprung. But this administration is making more and more mistakes. Through a strange coincidence I came into possession of knowledge that might have served as such a spark, but for personal reasons I cannot reveal it. That goes to show how sloppy they are getting. I am nobody - if I can find out something that would be extremely damaging to the administration, this ship of slime is far from seaworthy.

As for the comparisons to Hitler and the Nazis, take those as you will, but remember also that Hitler was in power for six years before he implemented his most egregious programs. If he could have been exposed for what he was earlier, it might not have taken a world war to remove him.

I, for one, hope it will not take a world war to remove Bush. I make a lot of predictions, some specious, some prescient, but you can take this one to the bank: World War Two was the last world war that will be written about in any history book.

The next time is the last time.

9. Timing is everything
and the spooks know this. Remember, Americans have a short attention span and fast-moving news cycles. Perfect timing would be between the two national conventions...

10. I really hope you're right
I'm anxious to hear what kind of shit will hit the fan and how the bums attempt to defend themselves. Between the two conventions would be great timing.

On the flip side the Repubs are not known for playing fair so they probably have some tricks up their sleeves to attack the Democrat.

11. I'll give you my theory
It will be information that is obtained from a private PR contractor. A huge amount of really key media strategy work is outsourced to small companies that have little or no security, lax document retention policies, etc.

Imagine, for example, if you could get your hands on public relations strategy documents pertaining to selling some obviously harmful policy to the American public, like the Healthy Forests initiative or the Clear Skies act. The internal documents are invariably extremely blunt about the real impact of these types of policies; they have to be in order to be effective in crafting a strategy to obfuscate these impacts.

Generally people assume that these things must be drafted and stored in some super-secret vault somewhere in the Pentagon, but in fact dozens of these potentially explosive PR strategy docs are probably all sitting in an unlocked file cabinet downtown in some completely unsecured office building.

Now, if I went to Bart Gellman with something like that, he might run with it, he might not. If a CIA official goes to Gellman with something like that, it's a front-page serial overnight.

That's just my hypothesis. But I think it's very likely that PR strategy documents are the achilles heel of this hyper-secretive administration.

14. veddy interesting
Too bad the dopes who are running things for Dems don't have a strategic bone in their heads. In December of 2000, several efforts to begin opposition research were planned by various Dem individuals and entities. They were stymied: some asked to stand down, some unable to find funding.

I guess Dems who have the clout just don't have the will to do what it takes to win.
