1. A man asked me for money the other day
while I was out Christmas shopping. I live in a fairly affluent suburb and in fifteen years, I have never had that happen out here before. I believe it is a sign of the Bush economy.

He said he needed gas money because he was trying to get to the other side of town where he had been promised some work cleaning out gutters and doing household repairs.

I think it is inevitable that we will see more immediate and obvious evidence of Bush's job-loss recovery. It can't just go on and on and remain hidden from sight and denied.

The irony of Christmas consumerism lives on. Hopefully people won't just think "homeless people" and take it no further. :(
