2. Yes, play-by-play, please.
Kristin Breitweiser, 9/11 widow and survivors' activist, will probably have something to say about Kean's statements.

22. Question..
Wasn't there a female "agent" who had strong evidence regarding "suspicisous" activities and tried to get it to the "Top" on time, but then she got kicked to the curb when she brought this matter up after 9/11 ? Wasn't she from a northern state bureau?

Wonder where she is now.

Coleen Rowley's Memo to FBI Director Robert Mueller

May 21, 2002

FBI Director Robert Mueller
FBI Headquarters Washington, D.C.

Dear Director Mueller:

I feel at this point that I have to put my concerns in writing concerning the important topic of the FBI's response to evidence of terrorist activity in the United States prior to September 11th. The issues are fundamentally ones of INTEGRITY and go to the heart of the FBI's law enforcement mission and mandate. Moreover, at this critical juncture in fashioning future policy to promote the most effective handling of ongoing and future threats to United States citizens' security, it is of absolute importance that an unbiased, completely accurate picture emerge of the FBI's current investigative and management strengths and failures....

10. Very intelligent woman
Kristin said that if she were president she would have warned the people that their could be attacks in the US using airplanes.

Don't know when or where, but at least the people would have been warned. Then when the first plane hit the tower those in the second tower could have been saved. Her husband was in the second tower.

She also stated that Bush stayed for 25 minutes with the kids after he knew what happened. No one acted fast enough.

She really made mincemeat of the talking head for BUSH.

Writing to Chris to let him know what a great show he had tonight.

30. I hope you are right. But I have a suspicion that Bin Laden is smarter and
almost as rich as Bu$h Inc. He was trained by our CIA. If I was him I sure would wish my opponet was as neglectful of worldly events and history as that moron Bu$h is. This is not good for our side. Bu$h would be a terrible chess player. He captures a pawn and swears he`s gotten checkmate.

29. Warn people? Surely you jest.
"Kristin said that if she were president she would have warned the people that there could be attacks in the U.S. using airplanes."

But...but...jbfam4, if w* had done THAT, people might have stayed off of airplanes. The airlines might have lost MONEY! We can't have that. Better a few thousand people die.

Of course by keeping mum the *administration fell into the trap of "unintended consequences" (they seem to do that a lot) and now practically all the airlines are bankrupt. The total cost of 9/11 is in the BILLIONS, not to mention the lives lost.

Even spending a little more on airport/airline security prior to 9/11 is unthinkable because that would affect the airlines' bottom line. I know it seems contradictory that by doing so they might have avoided the massive losses caused by 9/11. Sadly, airlines have a long history of being penny wise and pound foolish.

As far back as 1968, Charles Ruby, President of the Air Line Pilots' Association (ALPA, the pilots' union), testifying before the senate transportation committee, called for secure, bulletproof cockpit doors so as to deny access to hijackers. But that would have cost money. It's sad and ironic that a few hundred thousand dollars spent back then could have avoided the worst destruction of 9/11. The WTC would still be there, and lots of now dead moms and dads would be getting ready for Christmas.

If I sound bitter, it's because I am. I was an airline pilot for over 30 years. It wasn't until after I retired that I began to learn about all the alerts and warnings, over the years I served, that various government agencies had forwarded to the airlines. Such information stayed in corporate headquarters and was never made known to the crews.

13. Friend sent this review
I was unable to watch the program so I asked around. Here's what he said:

I saw the program segment that featured Kristin Breitweiser on Hard Ball. I had seen her once or twice before have always come away with the impressions that this is a special, capable woman who has a definite knack of being able to brush aside the BS and get the issues she wants to focus on, focused on. Plus she seems a serene beauty. Obviously I’m a fan.

Chris had an insipid brother on to counteract her request for accountability. Claiming she was Monday morning quarterbacking using the saw that we should not be pointing fingers but learn from mistakes or such crap. She more than held her own and I believe Chris tried to moderate fairly but she really did not have enough time or bring up something she had said at one point that she would never have believed that a couple years later not one of the questions raised about 911 have been answered or even adequately asked.

Later in the program he had on Peggy Noonan and basically made her look like a mealy mouthed sophistry addict. She has improved her appearance if not her con. Also on was a journalist who also made Noonan look bad by being so clear in his position there is no evidence that Saddam was involved in 911 and therefore it was sad the American people believed he was. Noonan was clearly outclassed this time. . .

Maybe we can get the transcript; but I do like someone actually watching the show and coming away with impressions about all the contributors.

I couldn't agree more that Bush sitting in the classroom was deplorable. How on earth did they spin it so that he came across as a "leader" at that time???

the media didn't focus on such piddly details such as how * handled his photo-op, but they were all over his narrow escape when airforce one was targeted.

kristen fucking danced rings around him. she was excellent as always. that guy defending * was babbling and not saying anything. bascially saying that any warnings should have been heeded was hindsight. she had many facts, he had nothing.

if anything can come of this story, she'll be on the front line.

(plus i know she (and her late husband) voted for bush. i doubt she will again.)

19. Bush went off and hid all day.
We were without our "leader" for most of the day as Bush cowered in an undisclosed location away from any TV cameras or radio microphones.

That Photo Op on the plane was when Cheney called to tell Dubya he could be the boss now.

But a hole it was as a former AWOL Texas Air National Guard prima donna scurried about.

No codpiece needed.
