The GOP would love nothing more than the country seeing a kook-filled LIHOP protest against the GOP, and they'd love it even more if they caused the already strained police/homeland security, having to then worry about leftists, in addition to terrorists. A major political party has a right to have a convention, and although you have the right to protest, it isn't going to do anything but hurt your own cause.

Nixon had a plan to create the very same kind of chaos-causing protest at their convention in 72, but they scrapped it at the last minute because of logistics.

I'm sick and tired of "Freedom" being used to name everything... freedom fries, freedom tower... America is not the land of the free... not as long as we are locking people up for using, possessing, selling drugs... and not as long as homosexuals don't have the same rights as heteros.
