Conn. Gov. Asks Forgiveness Over Gifts
Wed Dec 17, 8:54 PM ET Add U.S. National - AP to My Yahoo!
By SUSAN HAIGH, Associated Press Writer

CROMWELL, Conn. - Gov. John G. Rowland apologized and asked for forgiveness Wednesday over his admission that friends (news - web sites), employees and state contractors paid for renovations to a vacation home, work he earlier had insisted he paid for himself.

1. Imagine that!
Maybe him and Rush can hang out together and tell each other that they have done nothing wrong.

2. Hey, Corproate Pravda actually identfiied him as a Bushevik
So, we can now see that neither the author, Susan Haigh, nor her editor, who is likely NOT a member of the Bushevik Team, won't be promoted and perhaps will be fired.

The Busheviks rely on their infiltration of AP to help shape and mold the Pravda to their favor.

These are two people with NO FUTURE at the Bushevik-dominated AP.

Although he did get away with a slap on the wrist recently when he subverted justice about a pending terror case.

5. Of course not...
Republicans do sometimes make mistakes, but that's all that they are, simple mistakes. They never set out to do anything illegal or immoral. Repblicans don't have affairs, but they have been known to ACCIDENTLY trip and land on undressed women in hotel rooms.

Democrats, on the other hand don't make mistakes. All of their actions have some sort of malfeasance associated with them. When a Democrat falls in the woods, you can be sure of two things: it wasn't an accident and it will be heard because as soon as the Democrat gets up he will begin blaming (and suing) the trees. And the Liberal Media will be there helping them out every step of the way.

I don't know why it is so hard for people here to remember this simple fact of life: Democrats EVIL, Republican GOOD.

6. Thank you for the much-needed humor.
I'm on the edge of sobbing about the web of US prisons I posted about on LBN.

7. But it wasn't about sex, so he's not evil. See?
All he did here was steal, and rob, and embezzle. Now, had he had some sex with someone in his vacation home, why then he'd be worse than Satan. But this? Ah, it was just a foolish mistake. Him didn't know that him was stealing money. Did him?

9. Rowland had his own 'sex' scandal
When Rowland was first running for governor, it came out that he was arrested in an incident involving his ex-wife. It may not have been a full arrest, but the police were called.

When the local newspaper tried to get the details of the incident through FOI, they were denied access by the local police chief who happened to be a good buddy of, you guessed it, John Rowland. Speculation was he slapped her around, but that was just speculation.

Rowland has had numerous other 'small' scale scandals over the years - something involving Toys for Tots once, I believe. But, none have really registered on the public until now. I'm not sure when the Tribune Co took over the Courant, though.

10. And his stepson had drug problems, too.
He was arrested on a drug charge. I guess being 18 would qualify him for the Republican "youthful indiscretion" defense.

8. I would like forgiveness of my mortgage, please sir ..
I would be willing to become a republican, if you could do me just this one teensy favor.. My house costs too much, and we would be much happier if we did not have to write out that check for $1344.50 every month...

But seriously.. to answer your question.. Republicans have no mirrors.. They see only blame in others who are not themselves.. The list is very long, of republicans who are at the ready to lambaste Democrats for trivial , if not totally personal misgivings, when they are guilty of the same , or more grievous "sins".. They are creatures without a conscience..:(

12. No. All blame and punishment inquiries are to be forwarded to Bill Clinton
or, perhaps the *real* enemy, his runaway member.

If it's bad, Clinton did it.

Christ, what if the RW didn't have Bill or Hillary? Where would they put all that negative energy?

I shudder to think.

13. I know where
If there were no Bill & Hillary, they'd still be railing about welfare queens and everything else Reagan talked about in the 80s.

apologizing is enough, unless of course they don't apologize, in which case that is enough.

why must LIEberals always engage in the politics of personal destruction?
