2. Money is his issue......
Heard him last week talk about raising enough money to run. He needs to shit or get off the pot!
I really feel he is waiting for Biden to step up.
I for one would like to see a Biden/Clark run.

3. The money issue isn't going to be solved by waiting longer....
That's for sure.

6. If he makes a run and doesn't get any financial support
It could kill his political career. He may decide that he cannot win the Democratic nomination this year, so he will wait and maybe run for a lesser office like senator and hope maybe someone asks him to be a running mate.

9. When did you hear him say it was about money?
I didn't hear that from him; he brushed the topic of money aside completely. He's stood firm that it's a personal decision he's discussing with his family.
I think his waiting is a calculated move - remember, Clinton didn't announce until Oct. 1991. The longer he waits (but not too long)- the more chance he has to speak without being labeled. Don't think money will be an issue.

4. am i the only one who is getting ticked off by his game?
i have no problem with someone taking time to decide if he or she will run for office but for pete's sake, why the coyness about his party affiliation or political stance? why would i support a man who seems to be having trouble saying if he's a liberal and a dem?

i just don't get it.......

5. Clark isn't playing up his party affiliation because
he doesn't want to be viewed as partisan. He's trying to attract people into the primaries who otherwise wouldn't vote Democratic (Centrist Republicans, Libertarians, Independants). If he said he was a Dem, then he would automatically be viewed as partisan, and this would also affect how the media would interperate any comment he makes on issues. By not announcing his party affilation, he stays "above the fray". But he'll definately run as a Democrat. Money shouldn't be a problem, since none of the declared candidates arn't that exciting, and Clark could get new donors. And I doubt Clark is gunning for VP, because on the DailyKos forum, his son Wes Jr. posted that his father is only considering the top job.

10. Before you diss him
Read some of his articles, interviews, books. Then decide where he stands. Unless you learn all you can about a candidate or potential candidate, it's not fair.

8. If you don't know his political leanings,
you haven't been paying attention. He is pro-choice, pro-affirmative action and pro-establishment clause.

He sure as hell won't be on a GOP ticket anytime soon.

11. September will tell us if we have a candidate or he's pulling a Powell
(pretend to run to sell a book). I hope he runs. Let me just add that he was against the war in Iraq from the start, that he is a Rhodes scholar which Ruslut cannot obfuscate and the combination of anti-war-military man pretty much blows away all the other candidates - estecially AWOL bush.

12. RE: "General Wesley Clark (any updated info?)"
There are lots of rumors flying around but nothing credible at this point. His son has said he'll probably make a decision by Labor Day.
