That's how you join the channel once you connect to Espernet.

15. If goobergunch's doesn't work

Go to options (folder with a hammer in front of it). Set it to IRC Network = All, and the box under that should read "EsperNet: Random server". You can close that now.

Then hit mIRC channel folder, it has a #+ on the folder. Type in #democraticunderground and hit join.
