The main purpose of the Iraq war

With all due credit to Father Andrew Greeley, is there anybody here who does not believe the Iraq war was fought to install a pro-American government on top of the world's second largest reserves of oil?
know what happened during the Cold War when we try to install pro-American governments, i.e. Iraq's neighbor Iran.

Why didn't he tell him that 9/11 was going to happen before 9/11?
Why didn't he tell him where Saddam was hiding?
Why doesn't he tell him where Osama bin Laden is hiding?
