Im not sure what the big deal is in capturing Saddam.

I dont understand and am interested to know. How does this change anything?

It has its merits, certainly for the Iraqis, but Hussein had been so marginalized and essentially rendered totally ineffective by the first Gulf war and sanctions, he was not a threat to us, at least at this point in time.

It will be interesting to see how this unfolds, but I cant see how this changes much if anything really.
