BBV - You'd think it would be a story...
but you'd be wrong.

Because the candidate who stood up to Diebold's tyrannical use of the DMCA and helped bring this issue into the spotlight is none other than Kucinich.

The fact that he's ignored by the media, unless it's about his dating habits, should be glaring.

The fact that this is supposedly an issue we care about, might wake some of us up to the fact that Kucinich is indeed being marginalized by the media and establishment Democrats, and might make us wonder why. But then I suppose that might cause some cognitive dissonance, and no one likes that!

1. If only Madonna had not married...what great press Kucinich would get
if he dated Madonna! I LOVE Kucinich...but he will not be our candidate. Maybe next cycle?...

4. Dating Linda Ronstadt didn't help Jerry Brown so
why would Madonna help Dennis?

2. I appreciate his help. I have made sure my friends know of his
courage.

He is just another soldier in our fight. I wish all of the BBV inner circle, all who have put their ass on the line, would get the recognition they deserve. It isn't just Dennis.

5. Your prejudice is showing
I didn't say it was just "Dennis".

I'm saying he is the only candidate running for president who has done ANYTHING on this supposedly important issue.

Here is direct evidence that has gotten more media coverage for his love life than for this issue, which clearly directly impacts the functioning of our democracy, which (IMO) would serve as a wake up call that Kucinich is clearly being marginalized.

But all you can do is marginalize that point, by bringing up all the other hardworking, dedicated people who have done so much to fight for the people on this issue.

Nice try, but Kucinich's marginalization by the media and establishment Democrats is a bigger issue than you're trying to believe it is.

10. based on the FL convention
ALL the Dems know that VVPB is a BIG issue.

the convention had a question and the vote (last I heard was 96% in favor of VVPB)

it was mentioned often, including specific references to Diebold.

it will be *interesting* to see which senators stand up for a verified vote

kucinich, no surprise, took the most aggressive action.

i can't see him taking on the rove machine but i can see him leading the agenda of the house as speaker.

8. you'd also think that ALL of the Democratic candidates . . .
would be screaming bloody murder about the topic, but they aren't . . . what happened to Max Cleland can happen to other senators, representatives, and to our presidential candidate . . . I don't understand why these folks aren't making this a major issue . . .

9. Graham just introduced legislation into the Senate
it's in LBN, and other GD threads. Before you imply he's being marginalized by other establishment Dems, give some time to see who supports Graham's legislation. John Edwards has already spoken out, and I believe Kerry has too. Dean says he will make this an issue after the primarys, and I know both my Senators were waiting for someone to introduce legislation.

11. Just a reminder, there are more companies making e-cheating machines
Not just Diebold.
They're one of the worst and most blatant about programing them to fabricate votes for Bush.
But they're not the only company we need to fight.
And they're banding together to fight fair elections.
