Good to see some objective and analytical journalism on Dean's past record as VT gov:

1. Yowch - very different tone than Daily Democrat...
But if he's the candidate - then I will vote for him. Even if he were the devil incarnate, he'd be a better leader than Bushole.

7. Silver Bullets are flying
Every element oppo-campaigns can come up with that they think can sink Dean in one shot will be used in the upcoming week.

Thank god Dean did something about his records, opening them up for impartial review so that can't be harped on.

4. You say "looks" but you mean "looked"
You think you're the first to post this, that this is a gem that slipped through the fingers of all the Dean critics back in February?

Or are you just LITERALLY ten months behind the rest of us?

6. Dean's support is way too skewed to the liberal side
Edited on Tue Dec-09-03 11:55 AM by NewYorkerfromMass
right now the poll numbers have liberals supporting him 2 to 1 vs. moderate and conservative Democrats. If Dean cannot broaden his support better into moderates he is toast. The other candidates are much better balanced in this regard. (Of course Kerry is pefectly balanced)

% support from Liberal/Moderate/Conservative Dems.

Dean 40 17 11
Clark 11 19 17
Gephardt 9 10 25
Lieberman 8 11 13
Kerry 6 8 6
Edwards 6 8 9

9. Which is it?
Is Dean skewing too far 'liberal' that he can't grab the center, or is he too centrist for self-respecting liberals to support?

13. It's an objective progressive, liberal, left-leaning publication

that's been very good at uncovering corporate filth and its enablers.
Don't expect them to be pushing propaganda that Dean and Clark are liberals. You have TNR for that.
