Boy, I couldn't take but a second of it. I flipped to "Hardball", and Matthews asks Repub pollster and reliable Bush-ass-licker the loaded question: "So do you think Bush got a bump from his Thanksgiving visit to Iraq?"
Of course they already knew the "results" of the Annenberg poll out earlier in the day which seems specifically geared at making it look like there was a bump. As I posted yesterday, Polingreport.com has no other entries for this poll since Bush took office, except one right BEFORE the visit, and one right AFTER the visit. (

As someone pointed out yesterday, Annenberg is a right-wing think tank founded by the right-wing media mogul of the same name. Hmmnnn. Could it be that the Annenberg Center at the University of Pennsylvania was one of the few who had advance notice of Bush's trip? Or maybe they just coincidentally decided to conduct their first ever poll on Bush's approval rating immediately before, and then after, his T'giving trip.
So Luntz says "yes, he got a bump... and look how well he's doing!" (this poll has him 10% higher than most major polls of late). Then they put up a graphic showing the results. Yeah, Matthews had NO IDEA about this poll.
One of the most obvious and shameless examples yet I've seen of the media trying to make Bush look popular. Maybe they're getting desperate?
