1. One of Dean's advisors is Toby Moffett, partner of Bob Livingston(R-perv)
Edited on Wed Dec-03-03 03:51 PM by blm
Moffett was a VP at Monsanto and now lobbies for firms seeking to do business in Iraq.

This whole campaign schtick of his that he is an outsider is a joke and plain old deception.

"You won't dismiss claims against Clark, but when the claims are against Clark, you won't dismiss them."

10. Typo
Edited on Wed Dec-03-03 04:04 PM by sangh0
THe last word should have been "Dean", not "Clark"

I've edited it to correct it.

But I like the way you completely failed to note the hypocrisy of dismissing criticism of Dean, while not dismissing when Clark was similarly criticized.

6. Here's a neat story about moffett
Toby Moffett: An Old Hand For Greens
Shifts Allegiance To Gore

WASHINGTON - While former representative Toby Moffett of Connecticut once fought for the ideals held by Ralph Nader, the Green Party presidential candidate, he is now working toward a different goal: preventing Nader from drawing votes from Al Gore.

Moffett, who cofounded the Connecticut Citizen Action Group with Nader in the 1970s and became a staunch advocate for the environment and other causes that Nader espouses, last month formed a committee made up of 10 former Nader co-workers to campaign against the Green Party nominee.

While a long shot in the race, Moffett said, Nader complicates Gore's task of defeating Republican candidate George W. Bush in states with large numbers of undecided voters. He said his group is acting independently, without prompting from the Gore camp.

All this is not an attack on Nader. It's clear that a vote for Nader is a vote for Bush, said Moffett, adding that even Nader concedes that point.

Moffett, 56, has been in the political arena since 1969, when he was an aide to then-Senator Walter F. Mondale, a Minnesota Democrat. He served four terms in the House, where he became an environmental and consumer rights advocate, before an unsuccessful bid for the US Senate in 1982.

11. Here's another
This guy is EVIL!

Elected Progressives, Labor Leaders, Women Rights Advocates, and Other Allies Call on Nader to Urge Supporters to Back Gore in Key State

WASHINGTON - November 1 - "The prospect of waking up on November 8 to a Bush presidency is too dangerous to too many. Ralph, do not let your candidacy be the reason for that to happen," wrote a number of progressive members of Congress, labor leaders, women rights advocates and others to Green Party presidential candidate Ralph Nader. They continued, "Ask your supporters to in swing states to vote for Al Gore."

Those who signed the letter have worked side by side with Nader for years on consumer safety, labor rights, and environmental protection campaigns in Washington and across the country. They write that, while they have been "inspired" by Nader for decades, they find it inconceivable that "...ou can disregard, or even relish, the fact that your candidacy may help elect George W. Bush as president on November 7 and may result in control of the White House, Senate and House of Representatives by forces who would turn back the clock on civil rights, economic gains and social justice."

15. So Dean knew someone who was a lobbyist...

and that's bad for Dean... but Clark WAS A LOBBYIST and that's OK with you?

Obviously it is not the lobbyist part that bothers you... it is the Dean part you hate.

17. That article is nonsense
And pretty much any article that describes Dean as "anti-war" isn't worth the time of day.

Here's a quote from an article Dean wrote in response to these types of accusations.

On day one of a Dean Presidency, I will reverse this attitude. I will tear up the Bush Doctrine. And I will steer us back into the company of the community of nations where we will exercise moral leadership once again.
