Baghdad Bush: All hat, no cattle - just another turkey.
Edited on Thu Nov-27-03 10:11 PM by TruthIsAll
Just like all the others, this photo-op will backfire on Bush. Those who have come to loathe him will not be turned around because of Rove's two-hour Thanksgiving propaganda feast. In fact, they will be turned off even more by this obvious stunt. And don't think the troops don't feel the same way. Wait till they start bitching to their families about how they feel used once again.

To think this two-hour gambling junket will help Bush is just conventional mediawhore tripe. What will happen when emails from the troops castigate Mr. AWOL as all hat, no cattle? He flies in, has a meal, gets his photo-op - and leaves. The troops know they are being used - to fill the pockets of Bush and his crony's.

What about the AP report about the fifty troops waiting to fly back who say they were put in harm's way by Bush taking over the airport? They are pissed already - and saying so. Just like the Queen of England was pissed when his helicopters destroyed her hedges. Everything he touches turns to shit.

Let the mediawhores have their day. This will change nothing - and just makes it worse for him when viewed in context later. We all know it's all PR.

Bush, IN and OUT, real quick. For what? Did he get to see the conditions in Iraq first hand? He travels in a bubble which will soon burst.

DUers, take heart. If anything, this stunt will backfire, like everything else he's done. He's a disaster.

Now, let's hear it for Ms. Mariani. She is one brave lady to sue Bush on 9/11. Now that's a story which will grow legs. Its a biggie.

This story will be another sad chapter in the PR Residency.

1. And don't forget
He had to sneak in and out. Even LBJ and Nixon didn't have to do that in their war.

2. While seniors are still hurting from the Medicare
back stabbing, which Bob Novack exposed,(this story is on another thread), Bush just handed the American taxpayer another bill for his comic book Baghdad caper.

There is no shame among these lying crooks is there?

3. Media is going ga-ga over the stunt. "Courageous, landing in a
dangerous airfield", "eating leftovers when he gets home", "sacrificing for our troops", "surprise and awe", etc.
Hey, he has the money (ours) to pull these stunts. Look for many more next year. He needs this war situation and stunts like this to continue with his "popularity" with 'muricans.

4. "tears in his eyes as he spoke" -- I believe some drugs make you tear!
Bravest act since he "solo'ed" in his 2 seat trainer plane in the 70's (oh, you mean the media does not report that there was a two seat version of the jet Bush flew - and that it was at the base Bush flew out of, and that there is no record that he ever flew the single seat version!!!!! -- but to be fair there is no record that he flew the two seat version - but there is a record that he put in his hours - at least until the drug test became a possible part of the physical - but indeed for most of Bush's career - there is no record - but our media sure does a fair and balanced report - and not just Fox!).

6. yeah, the tears creeped me out...
Especially when you know darn well he doesn't have an ounce of empathy in his body.

I wonder what is really wrong with him. Think he may be emotionally challenged or what?

7. The media made the same fuss
when he landed on the U.S.S. Lincoln. It took a couple of months for that to come undone. He would have shown some real courage if he had served dinner at a shelter in D.C.

8. Yeah!
Like the Clintons did! I remember that--it was political showmanship to a degree, but it was also a very genuine gesture on their part.

Jesus--if Chimpy or Pickles ever handed me a plate of food, I'd make them taste it first. And count my fingers after shaking hands if I had to.
