2. louisiana is different wonderfuly so
more people are off on weekends and can therefore vote. I just hope they don't go repug. :eyes:

7. because we have too many elections
It is a point of discussion in the state that we have so many elected officials that other states have as appointees. It seems every month or so there is one election or another. No way people could keep taking off work on a Tuesday for this, so Saturday it is. There has been some discussion about how to cut back on the number of elections because the state is broke and it costs money to have so many elections but I don't see a change coming anytime soon.

8. The state of Louisiana isn't broke, it's government is underfunded.
There's a lot of money in Louisiana; but the rich control the state and they aren't about to allow any changes that would result in them paying more of their fair share of the burden for supporting state government and vital services for all citizens.
