“Could we change our mind? Sure.” Rumsfeld or Dean?
“I was asked very early on and I said I intend to take the match,” Dean said.

“We’ve always been committed to this. Campaign finance reform is just something I believe in,” he said in March. Dean also said his position was not based on any political considerations, such as the size of the field or how much money he can raise.

"It will be a huge issue . . . because I think most Democrats believe in campaign finance reform," he said at the time.

Dean is saying he has been forced to abandon a broken system. You bet. Kinda like Bush being forced into war with Iraq.

Now for the whopper: "Our campaign is Finance Reform" Dean on Nov-8-03. Bush probably can say the same thing.

What's the difference between killing someone with a gun versus a knife?

1. I agree with this move by Dean
So do most Dean supporters. So, I guess we agree to disagree.

3. Jealous, bitter supporters of other candidates...
...just want Dean to tie one arm behind his back so the "Dean can't win!" crap would be "proven" right. :nopity:

Later.

5. Dean was wrong
to make that statement in the beginning. He is right to opt out.
