Do you regularly read any of these?
I get ALL my information off the net these days (though I tried to not do it, the revulsion I felt watching the major evening news shows or Sunday morning talkies or the front page of a newspaper was too much), I wonder who still gets their info/stories of interest from the major rags?

2. Internet 1st, LA Times 2nd (I live in Houston)
The Houston Chron is ok, but not great. They've been editorializing against Bush ever since that hare brained secret military tribunal for terrorist idea and have started ripping him good on Iraq. But they'll almost certainly re-endorse him for reelection and their conservative slant shows up every now and then in their reporting (not near as bad as the advertiser-controlled TV news, of course).

Ever since the 2000 election mess, I've been very impressed by the LA Times's reporting on national political affairs. They never pull their punches, unlike the NY Times or WaPo. But mostly I rely on teh internet, even tho that gives me a pretty heavily skewed left-slant on the world scene. I need to be more aware of the conservative filter that the rest of the world is getting their adultered news thru.

3. Yes, Home Delivery of:
The New York Times
Newsday
New York Post

Sometimes I'm awake at 4:30AM with coffee in hand waiting for the papers to hit my porch. :)

I use both DU Breaking news and CNN, but I augment those sources with the "feel" of a newspaper in my hands in the early AM.

Tradition I suppose.

Thanks for posting.

4. Mostly internet these days
but I routinely read the Register Guard (Eugene, OR) for local news and the Mercury News online (San Jose, CA - my old local paper). Plus NPR and network & PBS news. Can't really watch too many of the talking heads on cable - makes me want to kick in the set and it's not good for my blood pressure.
