CBS News: anyone catch John Roberts' incredulity at Bush?
He could barely bring himself to say that Bush's response to todays bombings was to say that it showed that we were making 'progress.' The look on the anchor's face was priceless. I think even the media are having trouble stomaching BushCo's Orwellian rhetoric.

1. Didn't pay much attention to Roberts's face, but
The brevity of the reference to bu$h was most telling. Not too long ago, CBS would have had a sound bite from Glorious Leader himself.
Interesting!

Canadian anchors and reporters. It is a hoot to watch them try and report what Bush said without adding a "What the F*ck?".

7. Yes, the folks at CBC have had that look for months.
They can't believe what they're seeing.

8. Remember, Roberts IS Canadian...
He used to be JD Roberts, the host of The New Music in Toronto, in the late 70's / early 80's.

Nice to see he's done well for himself. He wasn't really remembered as one of the sharpest knives in the drawer up here.

4. It's time to cross over from mere face pulling
To actual reportage, media whores! You are once again being weighed in the balance, and you've been found wanting on so many prior occasions. Thousands of lives have been lost so far, and thousands more are in peril. When will the media begin doing its job, questioning and analyzing, and stop doing the White House's PR department's job, which is disseminating and parroting?
