But Ari, spawn of Adolf, is a tough act to follow.

I can't believe the real power players in this admin. would make this big a mistake. I think they chose someone with a victimized pitiful look on purpose; one reason is that I think they realize they are losing ground in the myth of the liberal media department, Ari was so arrogant and cocky that people were actually starting to feel sorry for the reporters, especially miss Helen.

I can just see the want ad: "Needed, someone to lie and spin for demonic political party of infinite greed. Must be able to evade and obfuscate in as few words as possible while simultaneously appearing rattled, abused and just plain put asunder by those big ol' bully reporters."

2. I would bet

that when Ari's departure date was chosen they had no clue that the s*** was going to hit the fan at exactly the same time. I think Karl Rove is twisted into a pretzel (hahahaha) over watching this little twerp deal with a full blown crisis the first week on the job. He looks like a high school freshman giving a presentation in speech class. The very fact that this is who they put out there is testimony to their arrogance. Their attitude is "we can send out this little putz because you folks in the press are a bunch of losers." I have to admit in some really perverse way I suddenly miss Ari's smarminess. This Scott person looks like he is going to pee in his pants while he is trying to remember the code answers they gave him backstage.

3. Boy, does he suck, or WHAT?

He can't make eye contact, hs NO presence, is scared to death, has a soporific voice and he looks like someone dressed him without a fitting. It's like watching small animals being kicked it's so painful.

At least he's getting what he deserves, privileged Texas fundy that he is: he's gonna have to work for awhile.

How long will he last? Probably for a while; they can't admit mistakes, can they?

What a delicious mouthpiece. At least Ari was a minority; this guy's just "the man" in a clunky form.

Keep reminding yourself when you see things like this: THESE GUYS AREN'T THAT GOOD. Rove is no supermegageniussvengali; like their economics, he's got a few tricks and that's it. Keep them off balance and they fail.

I just saw a glimpse of him today and read a transcript but I'm LMAO at Madaboutharry's take on him.

From the transcript it seemed he too often repeated, "That has aleady been dealt with" or words to that effect. A one-trick pony.
