1. One of the best interviews
I've seen yet, so far. Steve Scully is actually letting Dean answer questions.

6. Struck me as odd...
but I don't hold it against him. Same goes for Clark's similar comments.

This is overall a very good interview so far. I like what Dean has to say - especially when he said that a Bush re-election could cause a decline in the US as a world power, since we would inevitably stay on the same track of fiscal irresponsibility to the extreme.

8. Yeah he gave an excellent resonse on Bush's re-election
Not wishy washy but very realistic and scary. Lets hope Bush doesn't get re-elected.

10. Missed that
but expect he will have to do the dance on occasion.

Otherwise he is doing well.

14. As in...
...he was a governor, and had to deal with Bush as a fellow governor, not as a Texas resident. He's said this before, no shocker...

5. He has a cold.
You know that we've become little more than a military operation when the question of foreign affairs experience is limited to military experience.

Has it really come to this--is this the only way we relate to the world?

Carol Mosley Braun was an ambassador--shouldn't she have the most exerience in foreign relations?

"Idears"....;-)

13. yeah, I totally agree!
My dad, while he visited me in DC at my internship this summer, he went by the White House and snapped a picture of Barney. The poor dog was lounging on the grass as far away from the White House as possible, ha.

15. Interesting to see an interview NOT by a partisian pundit/whore
Refreshing to see a canidate actually be questioned sensibly and be allowed to respond.

18. I thought it was really good
As someone who likes Dean, but supports another during the primaries, I thought it was a fantastic interview. I really liked it. If Dean gets the nomination, I'll have no problem supporting him :)

Glad to hear it, but in the meantime, work your a$$ off for your candidate! Us Dean supporters will work our a$$es off for Dean through the primaries and to the nomination :-)

20. Good remarks about Nixon's Southern Strategy...
Nice to see a mainstream candidate call that what it really was. I LOVE his response to the idea that he'd have a hard time in the south. "You've been voting for Republicans for 30 years...what's it gotten you?" That is so dead on. I ask that same question to people all the time and they really can't tell me.

It infuruiates me that these people fall for the okeydoke every election cycle, but it also saddens me. We're behind the curve down here and to see such rank and obvious scum as Haley Barbour and Saxby Chambliss exploit people's fear and blind stubborness, never intending to do a thing to help them, (and generally intending to sell them out by turning a blind eye to what their donors do to them with bad labor and environmental practices), is just really gut wrenching. Dean seems like he might just be able to articulate that and not come off like an irked technocrat (like a Tennessee guy I could name...)

I've liked Dean's forthrightness and intelligence from the start (if you publicly say that Scalia is unfit to serve on the Court, you immediately have your foot in my door), but I'm starting to think he could pull this off and beat the little twerp.

21. Harry Truman ???
I did not like that answer, Harry Truman the asshole who gave us the national security state the original snowball of our tyrant empire. Did he say David McCullough, The author who did an editorial not Biography of Truman. I just caught some of the interview, I was impressed.
