Media WHORE alert--look how the AP spins Bush (low) reelection numbers
Edited on Sun Oct-26-03 10:23 AM by mistertrickster
Poll results back Bush in 2004
The Associated Press
Strong supporters of President Bush in 2004 slightly outnumber hard-core opposition, according to a new national poll.
In an Ipsos-Public Affairs survey of 742 registered voters for Cook Political Report, 40% said they definitely would vote for Bush if the presidential election were today, 33% definitely would vote against him and 24% would consider someone else.

Those national numbers have been pretty stable for Bush all year but his support is down a bit from early 2002, when at least 50% said they would definitely vote to re-elect him.

The survey was conducted Tuesday through Thursday, Oct. 21-23, and has a sampling error margin of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points

*************
Uh . . . do you folks at Ass. Press know how to add?

1. 33 percent "I H8 BUSH" plus 24 percent "considering someone else" equals 57 percent AGAINST BUSH.

2. His poll numbers were "down a bit" from 2002. Oh hell, they sound like my stock broker--your stocks are "down a bit" when they go down 20 PERCENT in a year and a half.

3. The article goes on to cite strong support in Kentucky and Mississippi. Esqueeze me . . . two states with less population than a big California or New York city. No they're not picking and choosing the results to report or anything.

It's sad that we have to go overseas for real news.
