Russ Feingold just introduced an amendment
Edited on Thu Oct-23-03 11:49 AM by Girlfriday
to eliminate pay raise for congress for FY 2004; and if not that, at least put it to a yay or nay vote for the record. He asks "how can we take a $3000 pay increase and tell the ederly that their benefits are cut?" Steven's wants to table (of course)

3. Hi ficus
Great time to be living in Iowa, isn't it. I've met most of the candidates already.

What creep have they found to run against Russ next year? I heard that Tommy Thompson might.

Well, he certainly fits the "creep" category admirably!

8. 3 millionaire repukes are going against Feingold . . .
and they make me sick! They are - Bob Welch, Russ Darrow and Tim Michels. All are millionaires.

. . . but he's the only senator in either party who voted against the USA Patriot Act, which expanded federal police powers for the war on terrorism.

Good for you Russ! This is a recent article about Feingold and what he faces for re-election.
