If Michael Moore can say it, so can I
We need to get W out of power in 2004. 4 more years of the frat bastard will destroy this country, and not just in terms of the freedoms he's shredding...
He even spoke highly of Clark as well, that's made me re-think things too.

I've changed my mind. Regardless of candidate, I am voting Dem in 2004.

All we need is a candidate with the goods and KNOWS how to fight back with any argument or trolling the pukes come up with. Especially since they've fought and won before (namely health care), we now know their tactics and can fight back.

If the Dem party doesn't want to fight back (Moore claims in his new book "Dude, Where's My Country" the Dems are lying low until 2008... :eyes: ), then I'll reconsider who I'll be voting for (Kucinich and Dean DO have my vote regardless. Probably Clark. Maybe Kerry, as he is so very... but we still need someone who will fight for change and show he can stand up to the filth and slander that the repukes will surely volley our way. They'll spin the medical issue, claiming it's the best in the world (which is bullshit, it's not worth having if nobody can freaking afford it) and also call any Dem plan "socialism" (pure bullshit scare tactics). They pulled this shit in 1993. They won. A repeat performance is something we must not have.)

That's what I've said and I'm sticking to it.

1. WTF? Dems lying low until 2008?
What crevice does Moore pull that notion out of?

6. Well, there goes my last shred of respect for Moore.
Used to be a fan... and I still respect some of what he's doing, but IMO that's just an irresponsible thing to say. "But what if it's true?" That's the thing - with Moore's sloppy way of putting his books and movies together, who the hell knows?

7. Why would Democratic leaders talk to Moore?
Especially after his nonstop campaigning for Nader in 2000?

14. a fantastic point!
Actually talking to someone who supported Nader simply isn't in the cards.

Now, voting for the bankruptcy bill or the USAPATRIOT act or confirming right wing judges, giving Bush a blank check to invade, or any other poisonous example of bipartisanship, well, that's another story.

15. It's common knowledge
and any work inside the Democratic political machine will awaken you to that cold, hard fact. Luckily, it doesn't stop the activists.

2. Two more terms of W*
since he wasn't elected legally in 2000, he will be eligible for 2004 AND 2008.

I bet you think I'm kidding, don't you?

9. Yes you are
The exact wording of the 22nd amendment is as follows: "Section 1. No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once." 11. Great
I agree on 2004. But if the Dems will not stand up and fight this time, it will be time to organize an alternative, or simply flee from 4 more years of Bush*.

12. I think Moore is wrong
about the Dems lying low. There are 9 of them running so there must be some reason for hope if there are that many candidates willing to put themselves through the shit of a campaign to unseat the Boy King.

THere are some of us who are out there working on campaigns who never have before (me!)
We will not go quietly into the night...

13. Rock on, Hypno...
Glad we're reaching a meeting of the minds. The ONLY thing that really matters is getting that fascist, scumdog piece of intestinal shit out of the White House. Getting my preferred candidate would just be icing on the cake!

Welcome...
