2. It was the most gratifying thing...
Going into the local Books-A-Million store this weekend and hearing a lady talk about Al Franken's book being #1 on the NYT list!:D

And, with all the trash that's come out from--and about--Rush, Sarcastic Sean, O'Really, Little Oral Annie et al, it's a GOOD feeling to see Al Franken's book holding on to #1. And to see Michael Moore's new book score highly, too!:7

B-)

I just knew those two copies I bought people for the holidays would push him back to the top. ;)

Okay, well me and few thousand other people doing it.

5. Interesting
how Limbaugh and Ingraham are the only 2 "authors" with a (+) by their name.

6. Oh, I'm sure O'Reilly...
...will have one shortly, when the news that either Mike or Franken are stomping him into the ground.

Later.

Does she attack Arnold and Dennis Miller in that book?

And Reagan too?

8. Ya know
I saw her on Crossfire yesterday, and she was almost human. She made a couple of good points and admitted that the repugs are in trouble in 2004 if Bush makes the war in Iraq the central focus of their campaign. Go figure.

13. The fact that Davey Limbaugh's book is on the list
makes me weep. Aside from the Bush's, has there ever been a family more full of shit?

The Isaacson book looks interesting, as I've always liked Ben Franklin. At least Annie's piece of crap book is on it's way to the bargain bin.

11. What is it doing on the non-fiction list?
I heard Al Franken tell Terry Gross that he defended Faux News' lawsuit by claiming that his book was satire. I didn't know that satire could be found in the non-fiction section of the book store.

12. I think the rationale is that he is satirizing actual events
generally, current events, and commenting on the inaccuracy of claims made by others that can be verified as factual. If he were simply writing completely made up jokes, perhaps it would better fit under "fiction."

15. So, in your world "satire" equals "fiction"?
Might I point you in the direction of a dictionary?

Franken documented his sources better than any book I've read in a long while. Sure, some of the chapters were pure satire/comedy (he's a comedian, after all), but most were fact. You might want to read it.
