Should I be paranoid? - Not *really* serious

I have a relative that works for the S.S and he does a lot of work with georgie. I don't really talk that much to him and last time we talked he got a bit pissed the way I talked about his boss.

Well, this morning at 7:30 my phone rang and I didn't recognize the number but I picked it up anyway. He said "Oh, I thought you would be at work already" and I told him I was just about to walk out the door. He said that he was going to be in a certain city this weekend, but on the way back he wanted to stop in Ohio and if it was cool if he crashed at my place.

As I said, he and I don't really talk much (maybe once a year if that) and he also seems closer to my brother and sister. It got me to thinking about all this "wiretapping" and as I drove to work I started to get a bit paranoid...Lol.

I was on the phone last night with a friend that lives quite far from me and she started in on the politics and I let it fly. I will admit I said some pretty nasty things about georgie boy. Then all of a sudden I have the S.S. calling me the next morning and wanting to crash at my house. :tinfoilhat:

I'm not really freaking out, I just thought I would post this because it fit in with what has been talked about in GD the last few days. I thought it was a bit funny.

1. I had some weird experiences..

one I started getting noticed for my Bush Wall of Shame and website. My site is regular cruised by the DOD and DOJ. And one day at work, I picked up the phone to answer a call and was surprised to find myself patched into the FBI switchboard and talking to an operator! That shook me up pretty good.

Now, my Mom and I make a point of saying nasty things about Bush et al when we are on the phone talking.

Just in case "they" are listening. ;)

3. I'm sure they've tapped my phone

I can't imagine they haven't. Arab American. Arab name. Sending letters, emails, and phone calls to family in Iraq and Jordan.

I don't think they're tapping the phones of every american who is bitching about King George cause otherwise they'd be wiretapping over 100 million people.

Still who was it that said that you aren't paranoid if they really are watching you?

5. I myself and another DUer, who lives in the same county, have

heard clicks when we talk on the telephone. Last night we talked to the "agent Mike" who could be listening in and asked him if he got everything he wanted. Because if he didn't, we would be happy to fill in the details of anything he might have missed concerning our out and out disgust with George 'Napoleon' Bush.

:rofl: If the HSA is really doing this, this is the way to handle them.
