10 Commandments OK'd at courthouse;
The freepers are partying down with this news. I can't understand this. Are we, or are we not a theocratic society? I thought we were:sarcasm:

Anyway, here's the article;

A Cincinnati appeals court ruled Tuesday that a Kentucky courthouse can display the Ten Commandments alongside other historical documents, even though the U.S. Supreme Court recently barred a similar display 50 miles away.

The decision from the U.S. 6th Circuit Court of Appeals means the display in Mercer County is permitted as long as the religious document is not given significance over the other documents, which include the Bill of Rights and the Declaration of Independence.

A three-judge panel of the court said such a display does not violate the U.S. Constitution's prohibition against government establishing a religion - and that the constitution does not demand "a wall of separation between church and state."

I'll defend to my death my right NOT to keep holy the sabbath!

1. Got my Falwell Confidential email this morning about it ...
Well Jerry, you and your ilk can stop crying "victim". Now why don't you do something good for society, like feed the poor or kill yourself or something.

Hey someone is paying for that display to be upkept.

Say what would the lemming Christians do if instead they put up the 4 nobles truths of Buddhism or maybe some verses from the Koran?

Would they then support the mixing of church and state?
