My fantasy for the State of the Union Address
Even though Dubya's poll numbers are abysmal and he's even getting grades of "F" on AOL polls, you KNOW that come the State of the Union address all those gutless, scumbunny congresspeople (Republicans AND Democrats) are going to be whoopin' and hollerin', grinnin' for the cameras & slappin' Dubya on the back as he makes his way to the podium amidst the de rigeur standing ovation. Never mind the spying, the insane deficit, the quagmire of Iraq, the dismantling of the Constitution and the whole long list of other fascist goodies BushCo has given us. God, I'd give anything to see them all sit in stony silence, or better yet, boo the living s%#t out of him as he wends his way through the crowd. Now there's a photo-op Fox News couldn't spin. Democrats walking out en masse from the hall would be nice too. Ain't gonna happen though.

2. You never know. I understand that when Cheney spoke to the
troops in Iraq, his applause line: "These colors don't run!" was met with one lone whistle and deafening stony silence.

3. Those Dems are just trying to get re-elected
They might alienate their more conservative constituents if they do something such as turning their backs on their Fuehrer or walking out on him. Did I say "Fuehrer"? I'm sorry. I apologize for that rude remark. I meant "Mr. President."

start gibbering and drooling, and act so uncontrollably looney that they have to whisk him off to a psychiatric ward. The shock of this incident causes the VP to collapse with a heart attack, after which Congress erupts in chaos. Then Hillary or someone starts slapping them - like Moe of the Three Stooges - to get them to settle down.
Laura quietly starts taking slugs out of her personal flask.

Pass the popcorn.

8. A "Captain Queeg" moment
suddenly & scarily illuminating his real state of mind on live, national TV for all to see would be rich.

6. How about Lenny Briscoe cuffing him?
and frog marching him out of the chamber. Alas, that won't happen. The best we can hope for is that the dems sit on their hands.

7. I'll go for that
Lennie on one side, Ed or Rey or Mike on the other, with Jack McCoy conferring with Fitzgerald-two Irish prosecutors who like to get their man.
