diminutives usually denote youth, familiarity or affection, hence, when
are people going to stop calling CONDOLEEZZAA RICE, "Condi"?

Condi is the diminutive of CONDOLEEZZAA.

Ms. Rice is neither young.

Nor is she on familiar terms with the majority of Americans.

Nor do the majority of americans (like myself) hold any kind of affection for the bastard woman.

So, Condi for the bastard woman will never come out of my lips nor out of my keyboard whenever i refer to this nefarious, bastardly woman.

1. Sometimes, use of the familiar connotes contempt.
Speaking for myself, when I refer to her as "Condi," it's a demonstration of disrespect.

5. okay.
i guess my hispanic background tends to see and hear the diminutive "condi" more as a term of endearment.

8. I thought you were going to talk about Bush's nicknames for everyone.
He often calls people by diminutives like "Brownie" which have the subtle effect of making the other seem lesser than Our Great Leader. Imagine if he himself was routinely called "Georgie" or "Bushie" (or "Twerpy"). How seriously would he be taken then?

13. Good point!
Georgie himself is so disrespectful towards others -- or maybe he is just playacting his god-the-father role towards the rest of mankind. uuughh!

10. Please. They had a guy named "Scooter" for Christs sake.
Condi should be shortened to "Con" because that's what she does. Although by that reasoning Karen should be shortened to "Kare" which is just effed up.

nevermind.
