It was built to keep people in the Russian sector of Berlin. Many many people were killed at that wall trying to escape to the west. The wall between the U.S. and Mexico will become a two-edged sword. It will not only be used to keep illegals out, it will be used to keep Americans in. One of the worst ideas to come down the pike.

Try thinking of a country that sucks the resources and wealth out of every country in the World, while supporting dictators to keep the people in line.....

Now picture that country building a wall around itself like some fort. Only this time, you are looking from the outside. What then is your image of that country? Are we isolating ourselves by such a crude gesture, or better yet, are we inviting a siege?

This is not a solution and never will be. It's expensive, short-sighted, and inflammatory. Soon or later, you will have to deal with why that wall was put up in the first place and then deal with that "why", like a "real man"!

Responsibility, comes with power. It's the trade off for being the most gluttonous fascist country in the World. That's dealing with a problem... by being honest with one's self first, then acting. Nothing more righteous and yet wise by doing a little "soul-searching". Also, a very practical and peaceful approach to a very complicated problem.

But hey... image is everything so let's just "put that wall up there and say, thank you and fuck you too wet backs!"

Those here who want a wall are not liberals or progressives in my book. These people who live beyond our border (I live not too far from it) are just trying to find a better way of life. They don't drain social security (their employers may take it out of their paycheck but since they don't have a 'real' SS #, they'll never collect it, if it was even paid to the Fed Gov't to begin with).
