Anyone else see this email going around?
Edited on Thu Dec-15-05 01:02 PM by Autonomy
Someone forwarded this to me for laughs. Some people have obviously taken it very seriously. I've paste the beginning and end instructions and removed only the very, very long list of names and locations.

My question is this: do people actually believe that the Pledge of Allegience is not being done in public schools anymore? Who are these idiots who signed this thing?

Also, notice the email address at the bottom of the email is missing, so this thing is on a boat to nowhere. What a big piece of spamming crap.

> PETITION TO REINSTATE PLEDGE TO THE FLAG IN PUBLIC

1. Pledge of Allegiance How about a pledge to be moral, caring and
socially minded?

2. any time you get one of those...
just paste this:

"The whacko’s get their information through the Christian right, Christian radio, mail, the internet and telephone trees. ... Simply put, we want to bring out the whacko’s to vote against something and make sure the rest of the public lets the whole thing slip past them." -- Michael Scanlon, former press secretary to indicted Republican Congressman Tom Delay (in a memo sent to the Coushatta Tribe of Louisiana to describe his strategy for protecting the tribe's gambling business, and entered into evidence before the Senate Indian Affairs Committee investigation).

4. "If you don't forward the petition and just stop it,
we will lose all these names."

Well that's a pretty stupid way to organize a petition.

preferrably this page: http://www.breakthechain.org/armchair.html
