2. That is the saddest part of 2000...
He did not lose alone, the whole world lost.

helped our economy. No dead and maimed in Iraq. No more big debt to China --- I could go on and on.

4. We would be moving forward. Not backward into slavery. Not
backward into debt. Not backward into death by war, guerilla style, with lots of chemicals and bombs falling on innocent people. Not backward into loss of sanity, loss of peace of mind, loss of limbs, loss of organs, loss of immune systems. Loss of nature and parks.

However, he would have had to have listened and heard the needs of Moslems about getting out of Saudi Arabia. Regrettably, Israel could still have presented the worst problem for him because not all of their leaders are determined to allow Palestinians to have a life, security, and an appropriate part of their land.

There would be no Patriot Act and there may not have been a bancruptcy bill as devestating as the one brought to us by Republicans and some Democrats.

5. Interesting how their running a rerun of one of his speeches.
Could this be the reintroduction of Al? To let the voters know what could have been? Nothing happens in a vacum.

6. When Gore 'lost' I freaked out crying.
Not because I so loved Gore, but because I knew he would take action on global warming, the most pressing environmental problem. And I knew Bush would do all he could to avoid taking action.

7. You just HAD TO GO THERE DIDN'T YOU
GOSH. I don't let myself do that very often. It is heartbreaking.

I idolized Al Gore. I guess I was in a minority. I could never understand all the stuff about his being wooden and awkward. I just didn't see it.

8. No TG, you're not in a minority...
I think there's more of us than we realize. I practically WORSHIP the man. I've been devastated for 5 years now. He's everything I could want in a world leader, or a father, a brother, a child, a husband.

I pray every day that we'll be lucky enough to get another chance in 08 to put him in his rightful office.
