1. I'd wager at least 2 of the supports thus far are Rs calling in
as Dems.

I don't think 1 in 2 Dems support Joe in his jonesing for war.

2. In my wildest dreams I couldn't figure out why Gore chose
Lieberman to be his VP. The light is coming on now to the fact that Gore had planned on getting many right wing votes through Lieberman...

3. conservative votes, yes
and Jewish votes in FL.

For right wingers, there wasn't much of a choice. Bush/Cheney was a no-brainer for RWers.

6. I thought from the get-go that Gore thought Florida
would be pivotal and that Lieberman would help him win the state. What he didn't count on was the butterfly ballot that gave Gore/Lieberman votes to Pat Buchanan and wholesale disenfranchisement of black voters through the use of ancient machinery. Never mind Lieberman's own post-election, "Let's concede and go home" attitude.

4. if lieberman is not doing all this butt-kissing to get rumsfeld's job...
...should he take a pledge to refuse the position of secretary of defense if dubya offers it to him?

5. Judging from Rawstory's article on Joe, Lieberman doesn't feel
loved these days. Took him long enough to figure it out.
