Two Arrested For Misuse Of Evacuee Debit Cards
A Red Cross volunteer and his sister face charges of spending at least $230,000 from stolen debit cards that were intended for hurricane evacuees, the U.S. Attorney's Office announced Tuesday. Brian Oneal Hines of Dallas was seen keeping a list of numbers that were determined to be a list of missing debit cards that he activated and used to obtain cash. He gave some of the cards to his sister, Charmaine Denise Hines. Hines said he stole at least 100 client assistance cards in October from various locations, including Reunion Arena in Dallas.
