my daughter just finished her 1st letter to the editor.What do ya think?


Though I personally find everything from bathtub Mary shrines to nativities and “Jesus is the reason…” signs just as tacky and tasteless as plastic flamingoes and badly painted, Technicolor gnomes, it is still your right-as an American-to decorate your yard as you see fit. However, with over fifteen million American citizens celebrating Hanukkah, Yule, Ramadan, Tet, the solstice, Eid al-Adha, Kwanzaa, Diweli, Die de Los Muertos, Boxing Day, and New Years, (not to mention the myriad of other Christian holidays that fall between November and January) I think it rather selfish that so many quote Good Christians vehemently insist only Christmas is allowed to be merry; that only their pet holiday is good enough to merit songs, decorations and well-wishes. It’s backwards, medieval thinking like this that brought us the Crusades, concentration camps, and the Inquisition. And so I say, happy holidays to one and all.
