Calif Attorney General Bill Lockyer voted for Schwarzenegger!
http://www.sacbee.com/static/weblogs/insider/archives/000840.html

Democrat Atty. Gen. Bill Lockyer says he voted for Republican Arnold Schwarzenegger for governor. Lockyer, speaking at a recall post-mortem at UC Berkeley, said he opposed the recall but chose Schwarzenegger in the replacement election because he stood for "hope, change, reform, opportunity, upbeat problem solving." He added, "I want that. I'm tired of cynical, dealmaking politics." Lockyer, considered a frontrunner for the Democratic nomination for governor in 2006, would have had to challenge an incumbent of his own party had Lt. Gov. Cruz Bustamante been elected this year. Lockyer didn't directly criticize Bustamante Saturday but said he looked at the list of candidates and it was "a crappy list." Lockyer said his vote for Schwarzenegger was his first for a Republican in a partisan race in his life. "I hope I haven't been conned," he said.

That does it! I'm never voting for that traitor again! Not even for dog catcher!

Lockyer is a Democrat! If he could not bring himself to vote for Bustamante in good conscience, then he should have skipped the replacement question!

many of whom are on this list, thank you very much, who gave their all to defeat this recall madness.

I am so ashamed of Lockyer. What a mockery of democracy.

Indeed, a demockery.

I grew up in his district and always found him sleazy and not that smart. Remember Locyer was the one who announced that Davis better not use dirty politics. I despised him already.

from approving the second half of the ballot in violation of the CA Constitution to fighting the delay. I think the Republicans have done an excellent job of infiltrating our party.

As a Californian who watched this thing closely, I did not and still do not trust all our New Dems.

Yeah this hurts and sucks but they've been betraying us a long time. I just hope we wake up soon.

I'm still pissed though. Pissed and hurt.

46. Tinoire, I agree... I think it is repulsive, BUT OTOH
I think we should all be glad that all of this is coming to light so we can truly see those who are disguised as dems and who are here to undermine democracy.

He really isn't too intelligent to have made this public statement, much less vote for such an unqualified, hidious person as ahhhnuld and I know nothing of the man other than what I've read here.

That is the only way that Arnold cold have recieved a majority of votes with McClintock in the race and registered Democrats outnumbering registered Republicans.

44. CA budget problems are caused by bush and his cronies ....
the bush economic disaster otherwise known as the wholesale looting of the federal treasury to pay off his wealthy campaign contributors with our tax dollars and the energy grand larceny by his energy company pals.

Is it possible Lockyer is so stupid he doesn't realize that.

And, apparently arnold is more stupid than bush in addition to being chicken-hearted as bush clearly bluffed arnie out of even asking for all that "federal aid" he thought bushie would give to CA.
