Why does Bush hate Christmas? Wingnuts Respond to WH Xmas Card!
'Holiday' Cards Ring Hollow for Some on Bushes' List

By Alan Cooperman
Washington Post Staff Writer
Wednesday, December 7, 2005; Page A01

What's missing from the White House Christmas card? Christmas.

Many people are thrilled to get a White House Christmas card, no matter what the greeting inside. But some conservative Christians are reacting as if Bush stuck coal in their stockings.

"This clearly demonstrates that the Bush administration has suffered a loss of will and that they have capitulated to the worst elements in our culture," said William A. Donohue, president of the Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights.

Bush "claims to be a born-again, evangelical Christian. But he sure doesn't act like one," said Joseph Farah, editor of the conservative Web site WorldNetDaily.com. "I threw out my White House card as soon as I got it."

"The worst elements in our culture" are ...

3. I thought this was one of the funniest articles I'd read in a long time.
They totally miss the point of the season, and can't even see that. How often during the course of the year, does anyone give out good wishes? The point is that they are being wished well, regardless of the words used. And they want to throw that away? Hopefully, the majority of Americans are seeing through the hypocrisy.

5. Interesting and fascinating
They react with "Bush has lost his will" or "Bush has given in to the evil secularists"

:wtf:

How about, "Gee, this man of God still puts "happy holidays" on cards. Maybe this issue is just a waste of time. Maybe there are more important things to worry about in the world"

6. 96% of Christians celebrate Christmas?
Wtf? Do the other 4% have a Satanic Mass on Dec. 25th instead?

7. The story said "96 percent of AMERICANS celebrate Christmas."
Yeah, they celebrate Christmas, but a lot of them celebrate it as a shopaholic's high holy day, not as Christ's birth.

8. "have capitulated to the worst elements in our culture,"
In other words any religion that is not Christian is a bad element in society. I think Jews and Muslims should demand an apology from this Donohue fellow who is President for Civil Rights..... Demand he retract his statements..

Do you think the WH will allow FAUX to bad-mouth them over this?
