2. Yep, and did you notice how forcefully he is stating his case?
Edited on Mon Dec-05-05 01:22 PM by Wordie
...an effort to appear "strong," imho. And he was using that old, "it's your money, you should keep it" meme. Now he's saying "Fortunately, I didn't listen to the pessimists, the tax cuts are working." Oh, god.

Anyone know about the economic figures? Must be some sort of change in them, for him to be puffed up in this way.

...now comes the pitch for more tax cuts. Jeez.

4. It's a re-run of last week's Rose Garden speech.
He wasn't as enthusiastic then, but he was touting the growth in the economy, 215,000 jobs added and how everything was just ducky!

16. Actually, you're right! Right after the speech last week, the CNN
host said "Gee Mr. President, you could look a little happier about all that good news!" I started laughing when I heard that remark, but you can bet it wasn't lost on KKarel! I bet he was told to put some more enthusiasm in it today!

15. Hmm...let's do the math...
Edited on Mon Dec-05-05 02:07 PM by Wordie
Here it is:

2,700,000 Number of jobs lost under Bush *
- 215,000 Jobs added recently under Bush
---------
2,485,000 Net loss of jobs under Bush

Seems to me he ought to keep his mouth shut on this dismal record.

Note: these may not be the latest figures; I'll continue to research this and post updated figures when I find them.

14. The man's a fool!! Or it sure as hell looks that way.
They are not working.

Just HOW are they working, Mr Bush? Can you explain "How" or are you incapable of putting reason behind the empty catchphrases and rhetoric?

When I see real cuts that help real small businesses, that help keep the large ones from buying us out, then I'll believe it.

He's all over the map on this speech. He's a moron and I've had to change the channel because listening to his incessant babble made me crazy.
What an effing idiot!

17. ...and did you notice he began to fumble a lot toward the end there?
He seemed to repeatedly stumble over the words on the teleprompter. Odd.
