Times Reporter: Iraq that Joey L. sees is not the Iraq he sees!
Did anyone see the CNN or MSNBC Times Reporter,on the ground in Iraq, this morning talking about the status of Iraq?

The bottom line was, it is not as rosy as some want it to be.

He was trying to be PC but looked like he just had to tell the truth and it came rolling out of his mouth.

This is not an exact quote but it went something like this...

"I was sitting across the table from Sen. Joe Lieberman the other day and he was saying all these positive comments about Iraq. I couldn't believe that he was saying those things, they were not TRUE."

Did anyone else hear that one?

other night, it was a female reporter and Bob went over point by point how things were going--the rhetoric verses the reality and she painted quite a stark picture. One example--

Bob "Rumsfeld said that Haifa street which was one of the worst is now in control of the Iraqi's, is that so"

Reporter "Well yes technically that is correct except it is under the control of the Insurgents, thay made a deal with the Iraqi government, they now control the area and use it as a base of operations to plan other attacks around Baghdad"

2. These guys lie so much and don't realize the Reporters are tired

ans scared and want to go home.

Now the reporters are not backing up their lies anymore.

Have you noticed that they never show the schools, hospitals, fruit markets anymore?

I'm sure they would show them if they could find examples but the people are afraid to go about living.

3. yes, especially "the rebuilding" of schools, we used to hear about
that all the time. I think there is ---no---rebuilding going on at all.

4. Here you go:
"Time magazine Baghdad bureau chief Michael Ware on Morning Sedition this morning:

I and some other journalists had lunch with Senator Joe Lieberman the other day and we listened to him talking about Iraq. Either Senator Lieberman is so divorced from reality that he's completely lost the plot or he knows he's spinning a line. Because one of my colleagues turned to me in the middle of this lunch and said he's not talking about any country I've ever been to and yet he was talking about Iraq, the very country where we were sitting.

5. Woo! That was even more powerful than I remembered! Thanks!

That is about as clear as you can imagine!

Little Joey the kisser should be real disappointed to see that his lies couldn't even get out of Baghdad.

Didn't I see the word "Embedded Reporter" on the screen this morning?

Does that mean that he was there from the beginning of the war or just for now?

6. Someone needs to investigate this.
Lieberman is not stupid. Either the *administration has something on him ,or he has an agenda that he is hiding. If I was another Dem in the Senate, I would do some snooping around. I suspect that he has some strong connections to some Israeli groups.

7. He has such a need to have power and influence

He went under my radar for the 2000 election.
But now I see the true Joey and he is a snake in somebodies grass.

Hope somebody catches him on this Irq one!

Love that reporter too.

9. I saw it and could not believe how honest this guy was. And now
we all know how dishonest Joe the Liar really is. He is the number one reason this party is in trouble. He was the DEMOCRATIC VP candidate in 2000. You can count on one thing, Joe will always look out for himself first. He no longer represents the people of Connecticut.

11. That is what I believe

but I saw a thread here at DU the other day that said there is no one in his State that can raise the money or has the power than Joey.

I was shocked!

15. I don't know if he is THE most powerful

but I know that one of the reasons that I wanted him to be VP was because he was Jewish and I believe in diversity.

I worked like anything for GORE/LIEBERMAN and was so disappointed when they lost.
