Quotes from Republicans when Clinton committed troops to Bosnia:
Can you spell "hypocrisy" boys & girls?

"You can support the troops but not the president."
-Rep Tom Delay (R-TX)

"Well, I just think it’s a bad idea. What’s going to happen is they’re going to be over there for 10, 15, maybe 20 years."
-Joe Scarborough (R-FL)

"Explain to the mothers and fathers of American servicemen that may come home in body bags why their son or daughter have to give up their life?"
-Sean Hannity, Fox News, 4/6/99

" President...is once again releasing American military might on a foreign country with an ill-defined objective and no exit strategy. He has yet to tell the Congress how much this operation will cost. And he has not informed our nation’s armed forces about how long they will be away from home. These strikes do not make for a sound foreign policy."
-Sen. Rick Santorum (R-PA)

"American foreign policy is now one huge big mystery. Simply put, the administration is trying to lead the world with a feel-good foreign policy."
-Rep Tom Delay (R-TX)

"If we are going to commit American troops, we must be certain they have a clear mission, an achievable goal and an exit strategy." -Karen Hughes, speaking on behalf of George W Bush

2. You'd have thought being pro-war....
Would be the one area where Republicans would be consistent.

You would think..... :eyes:

"Victory means exit strategy, and it’s important for the President to explain to us what the exit strategy is."

-Governor George W. Bush (R-TX)

4. I don't recall how Clinton responded to these criticisms
I'd be willing to bet he didn't say DeLay, et al were demoralizing the troops or emboldening the Serbs.

6. It's just too bad no one in the media ever brings these up so we can watch
them choke on thier hypocracy. Well, John Stewart might bring it up if any of them would agree to go on his show, but no one in the MSM would dare ever read them their own quotes to see their reactions.

9. The brain-dead Dems in Congress need to be reminded of these
It still boggles my mind that Dems have so much ammunition to use against the Republicans but they have yet to show the intelligence and courage to use it.

11. Oh, I always love it when someone posts these.
Now, if there were only some way to fix it so that every time one of the assholes who said those words had them superimposed on his picture every time he appeared on TV...

Or (and how's this for being a dreamer), if TV interviewers had the guts to throw those words in their faces every time they appeared on a news show...

Damn, wouldn't that be fun?

13. I don't seem to remember anyone coming back from Kosovo in a bodybag...
"Explain to the mothers and fathers of American servicemen that may come home in body bags why their son or daughter have to give up their life?"
-Sean Hannity, Fox News, 4/6/99

With 2100+ dead Hannity, can shrub explain why they are coming home in body bags??? No Hannity, it wasn't for WMD's or fighting Osama bin Laudin.

It was for the oil, Halliburton and shrub's ego.

14. Hannity's opinion of Servicemen's mothers and fathers
who come home in body bags has changed quite a bit. He doesn't want Bush to explain anything to Cindy Sheehan ~ or the other mothers and fathers who'd like him to explain why their sons and daughters came home in body bags.

Cindy Sheehan has been asking Bush that question for months now, and he's still hiding. How about that, Sean???

That quote needs to be sent into him, and it needs to be in the hands of every Democrat who appears on his show.

What a shame that Democrats don't arm themselves when they talk to these hypocrites. There is so, so much ammunition and the public needs to see just how hyopcritical they are ~

21. And who was it that ran that war with zero casualties?
I think his name was General Wesley Clark. Clark needs to appear on Hannity's show and call him on his bullshit.

17. a couple more:
"I had doubts about the bombing campaign from the beginning . . I didn't think we had done enough in the diplomatic area."
--Senator Trent Lott (R-MS)

"I cannot support a failed foreign policy. History teaches us that it is often easier to make war than peace. This administration is just learning that lesson right now. The President began this mission with very vague objectives and lots of unanswered questions. A month later, these questions are still unanswered. There are no clarified rules of engagement. There is no timetable. There is no legitimate definition of victory. There is no contingency plan for mission creep. There is no clear funding program. There is no agenda to bolster our over-extended military. There is no explanation defining what vital national interests are at stake. There was no strategic plan for war when the President started this thing, and there still is no plan today"
--Rep Tom Delay (R-TX)
