Has anybody read Mary Mapes' book?
I was at "Target" earlier today getting some things and I went to the book section (they have all sorts of stuff there from rightwing books to Christian to even Al Franken) and saw Mary Mapes' book. I heard her a while back on the Majority Report once talking to Sam. I read through the summary about the book and it seemed pretty good so I decided to get it since it was 30% off and I got Jimmy Carter's book. I was wondering if anyone here has read her book. Oh and I also saw the most disgusting book ever. It had a picture of George Bush on the front and than it said his full name and at the bottom of that it said "A great leader". AH! I wanted to barf, so I just stayed away from that book. Heh.

1. I just bought Mapes' book, but haven't started reading it yet.
Looks like a good read, though.

2. I have it, but just started in on it.
I heard her interviewed somewhere and she sold the book to me. I wan to read the part about Viacom's reaction to the affair. She's too smart, I just don't believe she would not exercise due diligence vetting the documents.

3. Exactly
Shortly after it happened Greg Palast had an article on his page about the whole reason why the neocons had to get rid of CBS. It was the only station pretty much they couldn't control. They knew they would do the story about the stolen election. Anyone who knows their Bush family 101 history knows that Bush was awol. I can't wait to read it. Same with Jimmy Carter's book. :)
