Hey, Smirky. You said dissent was patriotic (photo)
Did you mean that? or were you LYING again?

Anti-war protestor Hiram Myers, 74, of Edmond, Okla., is arrested by McLennan County Sheriffs after camping in a county ditch, Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2005, in Crawford, Texas. A dozen war protesters were arrested Wednesday for setting up camp near President Bush's ranch in defiance of new local bans on roadside camping and parking. (AP Photo/Matt Slocum)

2. Good, glad you found it.
here is the first paragraph:

BEIJING -- Amid mounting political acrimony, President Bush on Sunday softened the White House's attack on critics of the Iraq war, saying they have "every right to voice their dissent."

5. Also on the WH website.
Well, first of all, I -- we met in a society which allows people to express their different points of view. In other words -- which is positive. I expect there to be dissent. That's what freedom is all about. People should be allowed to express themselves. And so what happened in Argentina happens in America. That's positive. Can you imagine being in a society where people were not allowed to express their positions?

7. and this
23 August 2005

QUESTION: Mr. President, we know you met with Cindy Sheehan a year ago, but she says a lot has changed since then; she has more to say to you. And even some Republicans have said that you should meet with her. Why not do that when you get back to the ranch?

THE PRESIDENT: Well, I did meet with Cindy Sheehan. I strongly support her right to protest. There's a lot of people protesting, and there's a lot of points of view about the Iraq war. As you know, in Crawford last weekend there were people from both sides of the issue, or from all sides of the issue there to express their opinions.

I sent Deputy Chief of Staff Hagin and National Security Advisor Hadley to meet with Ms. Sheehan early on. She expressed her opinion. I disagree with it. I think immediate withdrawal from Iraq would be a mistake. I think those who advocate immediate withdrawal from not only Iraq but the Middle East would be -- are advocating a policy that would weaken the United States. So I appreciate her right to protest. I understand her anguish. I met with a lot of families. She doesn't represent the view of a lot of the families I have met with. And I'll continue to meet with families

6. 74 years old. Arrested for camping in a ditch.
Don't know whether to cheer or cry. Settling for cheering for him, crying for our country. I'll bet the man has some stories to tell. Would love to know more about him.

Good on ya, Hiram!

9. The McLennan County Sheriffs were NOT dressed like this in August
They were dressed like Sheriffs.

The ones who are dressed in paramilitary clothing...how do we KNOW they have anything to do with the McLennan County Sheriffs office?

They could be regular US military...which would be VERY scary. Or they could be some of those Blackwater fascists...which would be EVEN scarier.

Now it's the Fascist-look.

14. I am from that area (Bosque County) and I would like to know
who PAID for that gear.
These counties are poor as dirt and every dime spent is highly scrutinized.
Also, these guys are in much better shape than the McLennan deputies I know.
And those are serious sidearms and hardware.
I do not think for one second these guys are locals.
Someone should get copies of the arrest reports and take names.

Fears about this have been confirmed.

The people doing the arresting are DEFINATELY NOT Sheriffs. They are something more sinister.

Who's paying? Well we are talking about Junior here, so the taxpayers are probably footing the bill. It's even better in his sick head, that the people footing the bill might be poor, because he loves nothing more than stiffing the poor people.

16. I agree with your post.
This doesn't look right. You don't even need to get the arrest reports; just call the Sheriff's Department. I believe it's categorized under public knowledge whom they employ and they should have no reason not to tell you if these are imported officers working under the auspices of the MCSD.

That photo of this gentleman, who might have served in Vietnam, is heartbreaking. What's his story?

17. After reviewing the photo it is even more obvious....
check out the guy in the right corner.
Anyone duded up like that in McLennan would be laughed out of the state.
Even SWAT in Houston or Dallas wouldn't affect that look.
My guess is Blackwater.

24. It's
Very scary. If I'm not mistaken, it's also illegal for the *resident to employ private mercenaries for his protection on the taxpayers dime.

This pig is going to go EVEN further when the lid TOTALLY comes off, and that's what's really scary, because he'll be capable of anything.

This is for you, for serving. I always leave one when I find out someones served.

18. Looking at the photo more closely,
There are two officers that appear to be dressed in lighter colored uniforms. They're fairly well hidden behind the fear squad that appears to be doing the actual arresting.

Can anyone make out any insignia those in black may be sporting as identification?

22. The lighter colored uniforms are probably from the
McLennan County Sheriff's office. Those pictures from August at the hog farm, all those Sheriff's uniforms were light khaki colored.

So, the McLennan County Sheriff's are on the spot today...but they've been sidelined by the Blackwater mercenary thugs as Junior's request.

I'd bet serious money on these being Blackwater, I don't even have to SEE the insignia they've got on their uniforms.

...also, most LEOs are frightened out of their minds most of the time because the public has such incredible firepower at its disposal.
