Republican have built a trap for themselves.
They have to show they are real Republicans and not just neocon followers and to do that they must show fiscal responsibility. They must cut the budget but there is little left for them to cut in the social sector without becoming public pariahs so they must either re institute some taxes or cut Defense. Either one is saying what they did is wrong and they want to save their asses. They can not show fiscal responsibility with a Republican economic plan and the USA is beginning to understand that. Republicans have never in the history of the USA done well in the economic field. Why they have a reputation for sound economics is beyond me. I guess it is their penchant for the rich that makes people think they know anything about how government runs. Well they are in complete control of all branches of government and have been for a long enough period to demonstrate their economic brilliance and the people are beginning to understand. Well they have a few short months to shit or get off the pot as my pappy used to say. I suggest they are going to have to get off the pot because they are way in over their heads and everyone is starting to recognize that. The interest alone on out National Debt is more than we spend on every social program combined (except SS) and it is about to escalate out of control.. It is almost the same as what we spend on National Defense and we spend more on Defense than the rest of the world combined..Remember Clinton was paying down the Debt. For the first time in over a decade they had shut down the Debt clock but now that Republicans have complete control of government and they are showing us their stuff it is spinning faster than ever...

1. The Republicans are the ultimate get-rich-quick scam artists...

...a few people get rich at the expense of everyone else's future through all these deficits they pile up. Their entire economic "policy" (if we can momentarily use a term as lofty as that for it) is a pyramid scheme--and in a pyramid, only the first few insiders wind up making money; everyone else gets hurt.
